PC Magazine: It's Time to Get a Mac 1605Alan Baker ed, everything is superbly perfect on the Mac. Nothing in the Windows world comes anywhere close to the Mac. When Windows proves to be better, the feature it's not available to all versions. Furthermore, shared printing is as good, reliable and as fast as network printing on Windows. The things you read in here from the crazy Mac advocates blows the mind. I had 4 comps connected to the same printer via Airport on a DSL connection. Took several minutes before the printer even started talking with the various computers. Many times, it just wouldn't print, because for some reason, Stop Jobs had been activated and I remember running up and down the stairs trying to get it to work. A reboot was often necessary. A few months ago, had to pay my property tax on a few lots I own. Went to the local Service NB office. I paid and the woman printed out a receipt that was printed instantaneously on a printer in the center of the floor. She was using XP. I'm willing to bet that it was a network printer.
