I can't get that far. The machine is literally so slow that I literally can't do anything. I've tried running a program my wife bought called NetSpyProtector, which found something like 57 pieces of adware, keytracking coookies and hijackers. I am trying to get them deleted, but it looks as if the spyware program is frozen. It looked as if it had quaranteened the spyware before it froze, but I'm not sure.

My wife has Norton Antivirus, and this NetSpyProtector program that is extremely slow. With the computer running so slowly, I'm really not sure of what to do next. That's why I am asking about a safe mode in Windows.

I don't know if that is the problem. As I said, it may be time for AppleCare. At least this is happening before my warranty is over.
