PCs Always Cost More, Deal With It 3343PCs Always Cost More, Deal With It 3346 Snit hey snit, since you think pcs always cost more (or at least in 'most cases'), let's see what you can come... Derek Currie In other words, no matter what the reality, a Mac advocate can always dream up a silly argument as to how PC's can be more expensive, and present it as the norm. That *is* the cost of the computer. Been using this machine I'm posting from for almost 3 years.
And I'd rather take the $500 more I would spend for an equivalent Mac, and buy software which I'll actually *use* on my PC. PCs Always Cost More, Deal With It 3344 Derek Currie Okay, lets compare then, shall we? What hardware benefit would I use on a MacBookPro, VS a Dell E1705? The slower ATI... ROI? You are full of poo, buddy. That's the exception rather than the rule. It certainly doesn't apply to the typical user. I don't need to remind you that the typical user wants one machine to do everything. The typical user is not content with having 3 old junkers around the home office to do different tasks that they could more easily do on a new machine. Trust me, I don't underestimate it. I don't even take such ridiculous bullpoo into consideration. It just isn't the truth. $0. I use AVG Free and Ad-Aware. No problems in almost three years. Finally a grain of truth. Myself, all my friends, my brother who is a software engineer and all *his* friends, my sister who is a graphic designer and most of her friends, my mother......... Which are all easily taken care of. It really would be. You should educate yourself. Considering that a Mac typically costs as much as 50-60% *more* than a PC, you are losing money rather than saving it. Bullpoo. More cost, less utility, less features, and near-equal maintenance. -- Scientology Harbuttment Continues:
