I'd like to point out something very important about these statistics. Blacks are about three times as likely to be poor, and about three times as likely to be criminals.

Now, if you want to say that blacks are poor because they are dumb or lazy, these statistics might be a lead in to that, though there could be other reasons.

But you CAN'T say that blacks are naturally more wild or out of control or criminal minded. If you put 1,000 blacks that live on minimum wage in one neighborhood and 1,000 whites that live on minimum wage in another neighborhood, the number of blacks committing crimes is no higher than the number of whites. Maybe 5% of all black people or white people if they are poor are wild enough to mug someone or break into to someone's house. But it's no higher for blacks than whites.

In other words, based on percentages, a single poor black person is no more likely to think "Hey, let me go snatch that person's pocketbook."

I don't want to be a crazy liberal and just blandly say that "It's a socioeconomic condition." I'm just pointing this specific thing out.
