You know, Rex, when one posts on this newsgroup, one is taking one's chances that some of these wintroll psychopaths will launch personal attacks, not only in the newsgroup itself, but elsewhere in one's personal life, including harbuttment of one's friends, family, colleagues and superiors. I just want to say that I'm sorry that you've received so much of it, and I think you've dealt with it with as much dignity as can be expected, and yet you haven't backed off posting what you think.
Why? Most regular users have no interest in upgrading. Anyway, laptops are taking over the consumer market more and more every year...
When DFS started his attacks on you I was very angry with him, but as it went on and on after a while it just started to seem pathetic, so that in the end I kind of felt sorry for him, and felt that I could forgive him if you could. The thing is I think he is smart and technically competent, and I believe most of the things he says about technical matters. I doubt however that this poster is DFS in disguise. One never knows for sure, but the styles don't match, and DFS doesn't seem to me to be the kind of person who needs to hide behind name shifts. Instead, this poster has all the hallmarks of all the time. This guy is not only ugly but cowardly too, and he's the one I mainly mean when I refer to psychopaths.
