Strong reasons to prefer OS X over Windows 3267
Well, in college I was raised on NextStep. So naturally I adapt to the OS X way of doing things.
And it'd be natural that I'd say nice things about OS X and recommend it.
Yeah, the iLife apps pretty nice to and comprise a reason to switch.
But I'd say the number one reason to prefer OS X over Windows is that if your computer gets hosed you can get help from a genius at an Apple store.

My iMac G5 has been "saved" three times by visits to the genius bar. I've had audio-video issues that were all fixed by configuration changes.
It's pretty neat too, that the geniuses can plug a firewire-HD into your machine with clean versions of Tiger and Panther. When they go to analyze your machine they have a plan.
Also, I've found it useful just to go over there and get quick but needed tips from the sales staff or from the Studio people.
