Gee, all of these put together must add up to what - a couple dozen? Particularly since Windows comes with a firewall and registry editor, and Vista comes with Spyware protection. A hundred to one over OS X? A billion to one over Linux? The limit comes into play when you walk into CompUSA (or whatever) and realize that Windows can run 90% of the software (and hardware) in the store, not just the 10% that is Mac stuff in the back corner, and 1% for Linux in one section of one aisle - maybe. And a quick look at verionstracker gets me: Resound Sound Studio Cacophony Amadeus II Jasmine BIAS Peak XO Wave Plus a... And this only covers home-consumer use. If you have business software requirements, then Windows is usually your only option. I'm not talking about word processors and spreadsheets. I'm talking about stuff like Payroll, Time & Attendance, Resource Management, Client Management, HR, Finance & Accounting, etc. All the stuff that business of all sizes run on.
