If you buy a Windows Mobile phone, the software you will get will only work on Windows.

(And this is true to a large extent for all other kinds of smart phones, like Java phones).

In engineering, there are plenty of niche apps that are Windows only.

However, this entire section of the Official AntiMac Argument Book is soon to be not relevant, given that Apple's product offerings are largely Windows-compatible and will be entirely Windows-compatible next year.

(I say largely since my MacBook doesn't have graphics drivers available and Apple is apparently waiting for the 64-bit x86 chips out later this summer before moving to x86 on the desktop pro boxes).

So for the cost of an XP Pro SP2 OEM license ($140) I turned my Mac into a Windows box. That is what the debate has been reduced to, the marginal cost of Macs.

What an exceedingly boring debate.
