The Windows "software advantage" 77
The Windows "software advantage" 78 Don't need time. We were talking about the Zen Nano and how it wasn't as good as the iPod Nano, and you came back and quoted that the Zen had a -97... Hey that goes for a lot of people. They parrot the stuff Apple puts on their web site like that 144,000 viurses for the PC and other drivel. The Windows "software advantage" 79 Bahahahaha! This is pretty funny. Bahahahahahaha! This is even funnier. George Graves and the rest of the Mac Kooks think that if you don't use OS X, you're a "WinDroid", a hopeless fool who has... I know, I've heard lots of these stories from individuals who own IBM computers, Amigas, Dells, Compaqs and others. However I'm not concerned with the ones that haven't broken down yet, I'm talking about the ones that have broken down. You computer will eventually break down if you use it and if you don't. It's just a fact of life. I've owned computers that haven't broken down in 20 years. However any computer with a HD will have that HD break down eventually. If the motor or electronics don't go on it, it will eventually fail from sector errors. Sector happens with the actual HD surface gets errors, over time those errors become so numerous the drive isn't worth using. This is regardless of the OS or file system. The reason older computers lasted longer is they didn't have HDs or CD-ROM drives that spun at higher speeds. They had floppy drives and those can last a loooong time. I have a floppy that's close to 20 years old and still works fine, good alignment too. Also the solid state components like CPUs and memory will last a long time as well. I have rarely seen a CPU go bad but it happens from time to time. I've seen bad memory from cheap companies but if it's good, it will last decades or even a hundred years. Things with no moving parts last longer if made properly. The myths that Macs last longer than PCs is rooted in older computers and totally untrue. I've worked with techs who worked in Apple repair shops and they had old and new Macs stacked up to the wall. They laugh when people say, "Macs just don't break down." I laugh too.
