Things looking up for Microsoft
From what I see it's the Mac Kooks and Zealots in here. They talk about Gates like he as a tail and all he did was beat the living poo out of his compebreastion with smarts. I mean look at Windows, it's the most popular OS bar none. It didn't get that popular without some genius from gates. With Windows 95, it made it easy for people. It had a lot more compatibility with hardware and software. Sure it has problems, but for the most part it worked well and those of us who switched from 3.11, we were very happy. Since then Windows has gotten better and better with the exception of Millennium. Now know you can get some people who hate the OSes and have problems but for the most part, Gates has helped the computing world immensely. Gates did to computing in the 80s and 90s what Apple did when it revolutionized products in the 80s. The only difference is that Microsoft did a lot more of it and is continuing to do so. Apple is just becoming another clone. The only thing they're really advancing in the computing world is Darwin Unix-OS X. That can be a good thing if they market it right. I mean the best thing for me would be for Microsoft to get compebreastion on the PC platform. That will probably get us better OSes from both Apple and Microsoft. live CD 2663 Larry Qualig said the following on 29-04-2006 09:53 pm: I can get that, what I need to know is will any of them let me store my settings (and maybe emails and docs...
