Thought pieces for the conscientious mind 1061
Thought pieces for the conscientious mind That is not protected by free speech law, and as far as Apple is concerned it very seriously affects their business to have people inventing ways to use one of their products on... I don't know what Steve Jobs does with charity so I won't comment on his caring about the little guy. I will however comment on Apple's obsession with controlling their product. This obsession runs so deep that they want to stifle free speech. People have put up instructions on how to alter a OS X Intel Tiger installation DVD to be installed on generic PCs. This installation has found some success and some failure, OS X just doesn't work with all PCs and sometimes it only uses certain functions of the motherboards. This being the case Apple is trying to force web sites that provide such information to remove said instructions. Apple was successful in a handful of cases but that information is everywhere. It's a waste of time and money to try and get it all removed. Not to mention many sites are overseas and they don't have copyright laws or don't enforce the ones on the books. Some folk in other countries actually love peeing off American companies by allowing such things to go on. Thought pieces for the conscientious mind 1063 Had you been paying attention you may have seen this in a previous post...... Snit wrote... Jobs may not be a "bad guy" but Apple is run by control freaks in the extreme. John
