Thought pieces for the conscientious mind

That is not protected by free speech law, and as far as Apple is concerned it very seriously affects their business to have people inventing ways to use one of their products on compebreastor's products.

People do NOT have the right to show others how to do that. You can argue that they have the right to do it at home, on their own, but it is a whole different thing to make that information available to other people.

This is a very well-established principle in the modern world -- you simply do NOT have any right to pbutt out someone else's information. You can't reveal your neighbor's medical records. You can't reveal your employer's product-development secrets. There are many examples.

Right -- they didn't tell those people they weren't allowed to do what they could to their own machines, they are just saying it isn't allowed to tell everyone else how to do it.

Had you been paying attention you may have seen this in a previous post...... Snit wrote... "Bottom line: people use products outside...

And that says nothing about how appropriate it is for them to want it removed, or how legal their position is. In fact, if it is something they are concerned about, they have a legal obligation to fight against people that distribute that information, or a court could take it as disinterest and refuse to protect their properties.

And it may be ineffective for Apple to pursue such things, but they are clearly obligated to pursue them, or give up.

There is NOTHING extreme about any of this. If you want to talk about extreme, look at how Big Pharma works. The computer industry is nearly transparent compared to some of the other industries.
