I run an airgun club in the middle of Nottingham. A few weeks ago, a group of students rammed the door with the intention of taking weapons, for whatever purpose I don't know but I'm sure it wouldn't have been good. They didn't leave with any. What they met was seven rifle barrels pointed at their heads. The police were called. They sent a van and took the entire group of students in. My members and myself gave statements, including what we did to prevent the theft. No charges were brought against us. The students were charged with criminal trespbutt and conspiracy to take firearms. We're the armed citizens in this scenario. I'd say we came off pretty well.
