VISTA is nice! 1614

No matter WHAT you want to call Vista, it's HERE NOW. Microsoft announced the PUBLIC availablility of Vista Beta 2 to the general public this morning. (by the way, WHERE is the Beta for OS X Leopard, huhhhh?) I guess Bill kind of scooped Mr. Jobs, didn't he?

I got an announcement from Microsoft Beta this morning. Hopefully, someone will work out a way to dual-boot with OS X on our Intel Macs by the time I get my download notification. Or, I could just wait till the CPP is released, and order a DVD via the Net for a few bucks. I did order the Office 2007 Beta this morning ($4.95+shipping of $2.95)

As usual, this Beta will have an expiration date of a few months AFTER the RTM is announced, or a few months after the first RC is released.

I no longer have a Wintel which is capable of running Vista, but my iMac will run it quite well, even the Premium Edition, with all its Aero Glbutt effects. I'm quite confident that Vista will look GRAND on my iMac with my 20" Apple widescreen display.

It is certainly starting to look like my "Apple Intel iMac" is soon to become an "Apple Wintel" machine, for all intents and purposes (hopefully, someone will jigger the BootCamp loader so that we will be able to dual-boot with OS 10.4.x). If not, well, I'm quite confident that after my brother hears about its release, he will be more than willing to build a Vista-capable Wintel.

Vista looks SWEET!!! I could care less whether they "stole" some of the "LOOK AND FEEL" from Apple (I'm still not convinced of that, however). All I care about is that they didn't "steal" the CODE.

And you know what? I don't really care whether it is NEW, OLD, or IN-BETWEEN. All I care about is it WORKS as it is supposed to.

Now, let's hear from all the hateful and vindictive Mac Fanatics. I'm sure they will have something to say...
