VISTA is nice! 1619VISTA is nice! 1620 Oh, come on, Znu. You know better than to lie to me. I will see right through your lies every time. 1) I am... Yeah, I know what you mean -- it wasn't even and unemotional logic that wrote that. It was a response to all the stuff I read in industry mags and sites and groups. It gets very tiring for non-Windows users to have to sort through the Windows troubles. That's probably a fair buttessment. I think many of us just can't believe it isn't just because Windows users learned it first that they think it is actually good. Or that you must not know much about alternatives. Or just how unfair most of the anti-mac comments really are (like the claim of a lack of software, or the 'compatibility' nonsense, or the market share irrelevancies.) Hmm... I think the evidence of being common shows that they are in a position to support multiple manufacturers, not that Windows is good. VISTA is nice! 1621 By using the Vista Hardware compatibility check application, publically on Microsoft's web site. You say tomayto, I say tomahto, you say potayto, I say potahto. Let's call the whole thing off. But... Perhaps in some ways, but Microsoft basically controls and limits what gets to be used. Microsoft's real efforts to prepare for such products is quite minimal -- they just tell everyone that it has to comply with the driver model. And if you missed it, Apple has to make the same preparations, and they have a driver model, and they have been compatible with almost every kind of hardware, too (unless you count the BIOS compatibility as a feature) Where is the difference?
