Vista is nice! 1626VISTA is nice! 1627 They DO pay the public for their services, by giving them the OS for free for at least a year. Tell me, oh so knowledgeable one, how... What does their profit have to do with anything? I was writing about how WinFS should be included by default! Wow -- since the most recent OS? This is not really a beta program, then, is it? It's a public tryout period, right? A true beta program uses experts to find problems -- it is WORK, not an opportunity to play with a new producct early. That's good for the people who want to see it, then, isn't it? None of this is news to any of us, by the way. I'm sure everyone in the group has known of these tryout periods for many years. Hypocrite? What is hypocritical? Did anyone say that publishers NEED to produce public previews? I know I didn't -- and I don't see that you have shown it to be an advantage. Yes, I know. I'm fine with that. Why shouldn't I be? It isn't ready for me until that time! I don't develop products and I don't need to see it early and I certainly don't need to produce reports about the problems I find.
