Vista's speech recognition really works screencast demo

I know that many here ejaculated all over their monitors when reading about the failed Vista Speech Recognition demo. Which is fine, failed demos are a fact of life in the tech world, and can be amusing, but some of you went overboard and declared that that demo proved Vista to be garbage - "It's a MESS!".

Well, Long Zheng (a blogger I never heard of until just now) tried out Vista's speech recognition for himself, and found that it works great. His blog entry includes a screen demo (in great .mov-H.264 format): (You will note that even self-described "Mac fanboys" are impressed in the blog's comment section.)

And even MS-hating digg posters are impressed:

Regarding the failed demo, check out this: Here's the blog entry from Microsoft's Larry Osterman, who is claiming responsibility for the bug: "Wait, that was MY bug? Ouch"
