I bought a new D-link broadband rounter, which is optimized for gaming, and has a Gigabit Ethernet switch built in, also bought a $20 Gigabit ethernet card for the kids Gateway, my intel Imac already has Gigabit, so I though I would speed up the home network.
Well, they had a 20" Imac core duo, same as mine on display. and it was RUNNING WINDOWS XP!!!! I also saw it has Call of Duty 2 installed. No big deal on anything so far, I was curious as to how Call of Duty ran, as I have this game, and it might warrant me to install Windows on my own computer. I clicked on call of duty and got an error about it not being shut down properly last time, and do I want to run it in safe mode. I said no, and the splash screen came up and it looked like it was going to run, but then I got another error, a Direct X error, which seemed to completely hose the computer up. I walked away, but it looked to me like the only option was to re-boot.
I am thinking I will skip the Windows install for right now.
