No, Idiot, I put a 3.0 liter engine (which I had rebuilt and blueprinted) from a 1990 Alfa Romeo Milano (model 75) Verde in my 1986. The 2.5 liter engine that was in the car when I bought it and the 3.0 liter Alfa V-6s are outwardly identical in every respect, so its just a drop-in. The rest of the drive train is the same too, so everything just bolted right-up. I also installed power rack-and-pinion steering in my GTV-6 while I was there. The modifications to the engine that I made upped the horsepower from 190 stock to 250. These include: porting and relieving the inlet and exhaust ports, larger valves, fitting higher lift, longer duration camshafts, shaving the head .008" to increase the compression ratio from 9.5:1 to slighty more than 10:1, tuned exhaust headers, larger, less restrictive air inlet, larger fuel injectors, larger AFM, and modified CPU. Outwardly, the car looks like a stock GTV-6, but under the hood, its a hot-rod. Inside it has a completely new interior with Ferrari grade full leather seats, new Wilton-style carpets and a new head liner. The shift mechanism has been custom modified to make for more positive shifts (the tranny is in the rear, in-unit with the limited -slip differential and racing clutch). Front suspension is double wishbones with torsion-bars and Koni "yellow" compebreastion shocks. The rear suspension is Di Dione with a watts linkage and a Panhard rod. It also has Koni "yellows", oh, and inboard disc brakes to reduce unsprung weight. Tires are Khumo Ecsta V710 225-50WR-15. Car sticks to the pavement like glue.
