You do what owners of exotic cars have done for almost a century - you deal with it. Modern cars, even exotics, rarely break-down like they used to. With Bosch electronic fuel injection and electronic ignition, most of today's European high-performance cars are pretty bullet-proof. I have a restored 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV-6 3.0 liter with ~250 BHP. It's light, fast, and handles like its on rails - will easily do 150. I've driven it all over the United States, driven it on race tracks, and even took it to Sicily once for the Coppo Giro Siciliano run. It has never broken down and stranded me anywhere!
