There you go! Now we've got you on the track! FCP is software that can be used to control devices like this switcher -- although this might not be the desirable one for that function. FCP would be the front end connected to the switcher, like the display screen is doing in the TriCaster page. This does NOT imply that FCP and a Mac are meant to be the only thing you need for such uses.
No one has said that -- God, you're thick. Everyone has been telling you that these tools do DIFFERENT things entirely. Apple's FCP ios obviously meant to be used on Apple (Mac) hardware. You may need to connect that to other devices -- like video switchers, cameras, and projectors -- but what FCP can do must ALWAYS be done on a Mac, PERIOD.

Look back at that page and find out if you can add a set of favorite video editing filters. Or third-party transitions. Or noise-reduction applications. For any OS. Look to see whether it can burn your unfinished project to a disc. Can you even work on more than one project at once?
FCP and a Mac can do all of those. In fact, many people would choose a Mac to do them in concert with the TriCaster.
