What has Apple got to match this PC 2616

Who said it was a "general computer package?" I said it's a PC-based solution.

I'm asking what Apple has to match this. If that's nothing, just say "nothing."

It's not? What have they got in there to run the software? A mouse on a wheel? A steam-powered abacus, prehaps?

So the Maccie Myth says. But the new Mac is just Wintel hardware running a BSD OS, and Maccies are pretending the old "integrated" Mac hardware never existed, it was all just generic, off-the-shelf stuff from Texas Instruments, ET AL.

Some of which run on the Mac. Imagine that!

And it isn't. You also asked what Apple offers to match it -- and Apple makes general-purpose computers. Hence, the connection. You are also entirely wrong when you call this a PC-based...

Damn the number of areas you can NOT use this "general purpose Mac" in are adding up. To the point where one would say things like "there's no software for the Mac," or "the Mac has little practical use."

Are they? I only asked if Apple can match this PC product. If they can't just respond with something like "here's another place the Mac falls flat," or "there's no way the Mac can match the number and scope of PC applications."

You define "everyone" as the handful of people who responded to this thread?

It's impressive enough to get you to publicly mess your shorts in this thread.
