Actually, here are the terms for free use of MS products: Students: A student shall be defined as one who is enrolled in for-credit clbutt(es) or carrying credit bearing hour(s). This may be established in one of 3 ways: by identifying that the student is currently enrolled via a valid student Identification Card by verifying that the student is enrolled in credit-bearing clbutt(es) through review of the Registrar public access screens in the Registrar IUIS system or a student is validated by Continuing Studies as being enrolled in for-credit course(s) Faculty: Per Microsoft's requirement, you may use the products on personally-owned computers at home as long as there is a copy on a university-owned computer at work that is available for your use. Faculty emeriti who meet these criteria are eligible. I meet the faculty requirements. See, it really is free. We get the same deal on MS Office for the Mac, but NOT OS X. Another great reason NOT to buy a Mac.
