Why Intel 575
I suppose it's just a coincidence that Apple has shipped systems exclusively with post-NetBurst chips, even in cases where this added expense or delayed product shipment? See, Mayor, you're making an invalid inference about cause and effect; that Apple adopted Intel chips therefore Mac users started liking them. What actually happened was that Intel started making better chips, therefore Apple adopted them and Mac users started liking them. Why Intel 576 bless us with the following wisdom: Funny how no Maccie has ever mentioned this before if its... The issue is clouded somewhat by the fact that some Mac users didn't take a very close look at Intel's new chips until after Apple made their announcement. But if they hadn't liked what they saw at that point, you'd have heard about it. Contrary to the myth you're always pushing, the Mac community has often been *extremely* critical of Apple, I would say in some cases beyond the point of reason. (I'm thinking in particular here of the uproar when Apple decided to charge for .Mac; people literally claimed they'd leave the platform.) -- "Those who enter the country illegally violate the law." -- George W.
