I remember seeing "Gold Certificates" and "Silver Certificates". I once saw a hundred dollar bill during the JFK era that was said to be debt free money. The banks quickly held those back of course. I can ask snit for a look see. What I need is the right key words is all. From what history has stated about the Federal Reserve Act that Woodrow Wilson on his rest bed said "I've betrayed my country by signing the act into place." Or something to that effect. It is quite possible that Znu works in the financial industry, which means he will fight anybody on those terms. Understandable I suppose, but it really isn't doing this country any good. Like one banker said, if everybody were to pay off all their debts today, we'd be out of business.

So it sounds that our money system depends heavily on debt. Money is created by loaning money. Inflation is caused by fractional reserve practice in that the banks can loan out 10 times as much money as they have on hand. When a loanee gets the loan, it is just a paper check with the amount written on it. That's why I call it fiat money.
