Because he is retired and has nothing to lose. He has plenty of experience, and if you'll recall, has mentored his fair share of scientists in his time. Sounds like excellent credentials to me.

I'd say his experience went a lot further than just the Atlantic. How could it not be? Still, do you deny that any computer program ever written is totally without bugs or has any flaws in it?

No, just real world experience in how they apply their knowledge outside of academia.

Actually, it is quite simple. Ask them. I have. You won't find this on google, and I'd never just rely soley on Google as a 100% accurate source of information.

Over time, you will learn this. It seems you are still a bit young to understand what is going on around you. Time will fix that. Would you trust an academic economist that is a professor that has never actually done the field in the private sector with no experience? I sure wouldn't. And the colleges are loaded with these types. Very rarely will you get experienced people from the private sector that is willing to teach what they've learned thru the school of hard knocks.
