If helping the poor and sick gives one "more power over people", then let it be. But neither Mr. or Mrs. Gates want "power over people". They simply want to do what everyone else should be doing.

Now, on to upgrading my Intel iMac...

Apparently, not many Apple owners upgrade their own PCs, but from what I know, many Wintel owners do.

Perhaps you could try reading all the magazines with adds for upgrades for Wintels. In addition, there are thousands of websites with very clear instructions for upgrading the internals of Wintels.

Nevertheless, I will not attempt to upgrade my Intel iMac internally myself, other than the user-installable extra memory.

I am more than willing to pay an Apple-certified technician the $29 or so it will take to have him install a larger HD.
