Why Microsoft Should Fear Intel Macs" 518
Why Microsoft Should Fear Intel Macs" 519 On Fri, 21 Jul 2006 12:54:33 -0400, Stuart Krivis Stuart, weren't you aware of XP's... I use it enough to know that while it certainly works, it'll win no awards for intuitiveness, good design, or even its looks. Other than the fact that it's far more complex and difficult to use than it should be, I really have no problem with it, its just that OSX is better - MUCH That's good. Because you just described most users. Most people are not technical in the least, have no idea what a computer is actually doing and how. But even more importantly, they don't care to know. So designing a GUI for "brain-dead idiots" should be the goal of EVERY GUI designer. Too bad nobody at Microsoft seems to understand that.
It might just be "esoteric and mostly useless" until you call someone an idiot just once too often and end-up with a fist in your face. Then, maybe you'll take that piece of (admittedly cheap) advice out of the "esoteric and mostly useless" advice bin. But then, it will be to late, -- George Graves The health of our society is a direct result of the men and women we choose to admire.
