Why Microsoft Should Fear Intel Macs" 520
It should NOT be the default behavior of the Recycle Bin to RETAIN files intact until the user empties it? You are really stupid, Wegie. You are cutting your OWN throat, not mine. Why Microsoft Should Fear Intel Macs" 523 ShapeShifter has "theme support"? Which ShapeShifter are you referring to? I wouldn't call Unsanity's ShapeShifter "theme support". Compare it to a product... Microsoft doesn't go around "holding the hand of its users while they go take a crap", as Apple does. Instead, Microsoft gives its users CREDIT for having a little common sense and intelligence, and leaves such choices up to us. Unlike Apple. What a maroon! You just didn't read a single word I said, or are completely unable to understand simple English. In the first place, the DEFAULT behavior of the XP Recycle Bin is to KEEP the files intact UNTIL the user empties it. This is to enable us to recover deleted files we put into it. They give us CHOICES to treat the Recyle Bin the way WE want it, at ANY time. In the second place, the DEFAULT behavior of the XP Recycle Bin is to ALWAYS leave us the option to recover files placed in it, and at the same time, leave us the option to also NOT leave them in the Recycle Bin (sent to the "bit bucket", if we choose). Since the Recycle Bin size may be any size we desire, this will enable us to SAVE on available physical disk space, since the Recycle Bin can fill up pretty quickly. As you well know, ALL OSX files sent to the Trash Can are placed in a FOLDER on the HD, where they may be recovered, if desired, and not the "bit bucket". Instead, OS X has the so-called "safe delete", where the files are simply written over many times, rather than sent to the "bit bucket", as XP users have the choice to do. Why Microsoft Should Fear Intel Macs" 521 It looks like I've been under a misunderstanding all these years. I thought that checking "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin when deleted...
And WHY does it have all these so-called "applications"? They are not necessary. So many "applications" for the Recycle Bin certainly aren't necessary in XP. Apple didn't create those "45 applications", "independent" (hehe. Very laughable) developers did, because Apple DIDN'T include choices for the user, as Microsoft DID out of the box. == Donald L McDaniel Please Reply to the Original Thread. ========================================================
