I was wrong on an issue and admitted it. There was more than one maker. I bet you wish you had the ability to admit when you're proven wrong in here. That happens quite a bit too.

As it turns out, Apple and I are in the same business. We both make PC clones.

They did it to increase the market share and truly compete with PCs. They failed. Then they became clones themselves. First their OS was scrapped and based on Unix that is not the property of one company. It's based on Darwin Unix. Then they decided to use Intel CPUs. So not only was it Apple's loss, it was the PCs gain. Now we have another PC clone makers, too bad it won't drive down prices because Apple charges through the nose for their clones. I guess all that extra money is for OS X.

No poo! Any fool knew that the PC clone success came because they had more people making the hardware and compebreastion makes prices low. Apple screwed up because they didn't lower prices to compete that's why they didn't take off, Apple end it. You see IBM didn't want to sacrifice their PC business but it happed and that's why OS X is only 3% of the computing world. It will be even less now that Macs are "PCs too" and run Windows.

This is not an opinion it's a fact. Macs are PCs too. The company that make's the computers says they're "PCs too". You're the one telling Apple that they don't know what products they're selling. Now who's the kook? Every tech I know thinks Macs are PC clones now. I call people Kooks who aren't grounded in reality. They're brainwashed to love a computer so much they will lie and say anything to avoid the truth. It's like some weirdo religious cult. I think you could be a member.
