Why did Apple sell a crappy OS for over twenty years 3279
Timberwoof He didn't say the 68k had an MMU. He said that Sun did. It's not hard to build an MMU out...

Well it's thanks to these computers' ability to do that stuff (ones that run windows too) that most people who want to do other stuff with computers can afford the machines. I don't mind too much having to clean out the stuff I don't want, and I find that much easier to to in mac OS than in windows, which was one of my main reasons for making it my main OS for many years.

Things like spaces and time machine might also be useful to me, as they look easier to install and use than third party add-ons, and if the hype turns out to be true, and these things are on a par with other apple stuff like iLife (another thing I have no use for apart from iTunes) then they will be much better and easier to use.

Good enough for me.

Andy
