Why did Apple sell a crappy OS for over twenty years 3281
Actually Apple's OSes over the years haven't been all crappy. If you ask me most of the stuff was crappy until Geos and other GUIs came out. Apple did have some crappy ones with System 7 though. I couldn't bare to use that poo. It was clunky as hell and sloooow. I didn't use OS 9 much but I can say OS X is an improvement. As I've been using OS X, I find that it's OK but not as robust as Windows. In my opinion OS X is almost to the level of Linux distributions like Mandriva(formerly Mandrake), Fedora, Ubuntu and Knoppix. There are others I'm leaving out. I'm saying that while OS X is good, Windows is the gold standard these days. Easy to set up and use. Easy to find drivers for. Comes with loads of drivers. In that way OS X is very limited. I just don't get why people here think that OS X is so much better than Windows when it's so limited, so constrained to hardware and software. John
