The obvious answer to this is to focus on desktops, I should think. :D

A better answer might be to transition to Intel, but slowly, and starting with laptops.

They started with the iMac instead, and are going as fast as they can.

I think that this is in part due to people waiting to upgrade so they don't get an instantaly obsolete computer.

Well, maybe it will play out that way. But the speed of Apple's transition and the speed at which Universal apps appear are not obviously connected.

If I were Apple, I would be keeping the G5s around for awhile, at the very least. I'd spin the line that the G5 is faster than The Intel Chip, and say "we're waiting for Intel to catch up". That would buy time for Photoshop and such to come over.
