Funny. I picked up a Dell laptop a few weeks ago. What a piece of crap. Keeps getting slower and slower. These weird pop up windows keep appearing out...
Following the recent debate about Mac OS X vs. Windows stability, I was wondering why I hadn't had any (spontaneous) Windows crashes the last 2 weeks. Maybe Windows had spontaneously healed itself?
Lo and behold, after having been away from the PC for a good hour (I had to drive my lil' sister to the pet shop), I arrived home to see a message on my ThinkPad's screen:
"The System has experienced a serious malfunction"
or somesuch. In any case it had rebooted and taken all my work with it. Swell.
Of course, FireFox 2.0 saves my butt again, because as usual, I'm able to restore the 7 browser windows I had open before I left the machine.
