Yeah OS X is great but why is Apple picking on Microsoft 988
My argument is accurate, not extreme. A PC cannot be counted as a PC unless it is a Personal Computer. Thus meaning it's used in a Personal way. Granted, there are Macs out there only being used as cash registers and other non "Personal" ways, and would not be counted in marketshare numbers. But if you want to be accurate, you can not count similar Windows based machines as PC's, UNLESS they are Personal Computers. That is fair, and the general numbers are about 40% are not used in this capacity, merely dumb factory terminals, generic typewriters, signage, etc. Yes, a good example is why don't we see Car marketshare as the total of All Trucks, Planes, Bikes, and Rollerskates? But in the PC industry we do? A Personal Car is a PC... a Plane or Truck is not... but Windows users tend to fudge the numbers and INCLUDE every PC produced as a PC, and that's not correct. Yeah OS X is great but why is Apple picking on Microsoft 989 No, you made up your own definitions: "a PC must have Personal data on it... otherwise it's just computer... not a "Personal Computer... Yes, Dumb Terminals are still Dumb Terminals even if they were made by DeLL in the first place... They SHOULD NOT be counted in PC Marketshare for the simple reason they are in no way a PERSONAL COMPUTER. -
