By and large, historical Atheists at least had a decent working understanding of the concepts behind your religion. As George has demonstrated, it's very possible to have a deep understanding of these religions while still rejecting their claims. This is, in fact, not uncommon. Understanding is different than accepting. But not necessarily the right one. How is this different from a cult leader who claims the same? A carpenter, a child, and schizophrenia incarnate. What a combination.
