It is a PROMISE from God, since He fully expects to carry it out if you reject Him. You may be a Fundy GodHating troll if: 1677 Thanks. I needed that laugh, Donald. God says "Live as I say or go to Hell." But its not... There just won't be any place in the next World for atheists (or for evil itself), whether we like it or not. There will simply be NO EVIL in the New Heavens and the New Earth. Since ALL EVIL resides in men and angels, obviously, these evil men and angels will find no place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Nor would they be happy there. God wants you to be happy, my friend. And He will give you exactly what you desire. You desire rest. So that is what you will get. But God STILL does NOT force you to even believe His Words. You can take them or leave them, as you choose. Of course, you will pay the consequences of your actions. But as long as your life is in your own hands, you will never be forced to love God. It's not even possible to be "forced" to love God. In fact, it's not even POSSIBLE to love God without His Spirit residing in your heart (and He NEVER forces me. He ALWAYS leaves the choice up to me, even though He also warns me of the consequences of disobeying His promptings. So, you will never have to worry about being "forced". Of course, if you refuse to submit to God, you will only be animated by your own lusts, and the lies of Satan, which DO force you against your will. As St. Paul puts it, "The wages of sin are rest, but the Gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ". You've earned rest through your Law-breaking. Those are the wages you will receive from Christ. -- Donald L McDaniel Please reply to the original thread, so that the thread may be kept intact. ========================================================
