Yeah, well.. as long as there is no evidence that this "god" of yours exists, then I see no point in considering the possibility of it's existence...

Pure crappola. If one did a personality profile of your "God" one would find God making all people righteous and loving to be absolutely in keeping with his character. The fact that he isn't just shows how cleverly the construct of God is built. Anything that could tie down the improbability of a God existing is thus accounted for and neatly disposed of. Well, priests and theologians have had several thousand years to refine God, and they've done an excellent job. The NT authors really cleaned him up because anyone who has ever dispbuttionaltely studied the Bible cannot help but notice the gaping chasm that is the personality difference between the Old Testament God and the New Testament God. If EVER there were a red flag pointing to the probable non-existence of your God, that's certainly it.

Then why did you comment on it at all? And the point is a valid one irrespective of your inability to see it.

I doubt it. Its probably more of a question of "in for a dollar, in for a diime." No Christian dares to examine his 'faith' too closely simply because it won't stand up to close scrutiny.
