f*** Europe 2711 1992, last race, Hill needs to finish ahead to take the championship. Schumacher banely damages his own car, so (allegedly) chops up Hill to take him out too. 1997, last race, Villenueve needs to finish... Sure, that's true; one tends to like the sports that one grows-up with. When I was growing-up, soccer was virtually unknown in this country. We had baseball, football, and basketball, and that was about it for team sports. When I was in high-school I played a couple of seasons of football, and I played baseball every season. I never did care much about football, I mostly played to please my dad. But I thoroughly enjoyed baseball and even thought about playing in the major leagues. Only one thing stopped me..... no talent! I was OK in a sand-lot sort of way, good enough to make the team every year, but certainly I was no high-school baseball star, just an enthusiastic left-fielder. But playing did give me a life-long affection for the game, an affection that I never formed for football (at which I was actually better!). To this day, I don't follow football and I watch only one football game a year - the Super Bowl and I'll admit that I watch that more for the camaraderie of my buddies (and the party) and the special Super Bowl commercials than I do for the game.
