This had me laughing out loud.
Are you seriously saying that Apple has made an unfair or weak product because their product doesn't serve the customers who do NOT buy it?
Apple's iTunes software is free. (And it's good, and does almost everything a user would want!) Using Apple's iTMS is free; it costs nothing to register. (That's not true of every service.) Therefore, everyone who can run iTunes can take advantage of EVERYTHING that Apple offers. EVERYTHING. (And they can also convert music they buy to use on every device that can play music in ANY WAY!)
Do the other services offer that? Do the other services make it so easy, and so cheap? Do the other services offer music that can be played on EVERYTHING, or just music that can be played on WMP for Windows, which you say is almost as good?
