which is technically correct. if a device doesn't work automatically, there is something either wrong with the device or the computer, take your pick. the more evolved people of our species will not tolerate such sloppiness, thus they are mac users, the people that do put up with problems and try and fix them are considered the blue collar workers, or the lower clbutt.

there were no mac users jumping for joy for dual booting, only windows or linux users dying to get a mac and still stay with the broken metaphor of how computers used to work. you got to be kidding about the 99.9%? mac users have known about dual booting forever, even before the Mac was made, machines booted into different oses. sounds like you haven't heard of cp-m? the appledual booted before the PC was even around. catch a clue.

i think you do get into a clbutt of users that aren't from the Mac stock that only understand you can only copy music from your cds, use limewire for free, or pay .99 cents per song via Apple's music store. but many of those, don't understand computing in general, or are windows users to begin with, not mac users. using bit torrent with the ipod is a bit on the edge since it requires a computer in there somewhere. but you are clearly making a mistake thinking iPod users are only Mac users, when only about 15% are.

devices should be perfectly seamless, anything less is just a "hack", which you seem quite well versed in. why don't you move up to the mac level and live life to the fullest? why do you want to pull people down to your poorest level?

the iPod and the Mac are the finest pieces of equipment in their respective areas. The whole goal of advanced societies has been to make devices as invisible as possible. If are still stuck in 1974, that isn't our problem, but again, trying to pull more advanced people down to your more primitive level will never work. Mac & iPod users move everyone UP, whereas MS, Linux and non iPod users try and keep everyone down.
