Buying memory. Advice needed

Hello,

DVD Playback Issue
If it makes you feel any better, my Apex exhibits occasional weirdness, such as (on extremely rare occasions), failing to fully power up...

I would like to upgrade the memory of my Apple Laserwriter 8500 which was made in 1998. I have found many places to buy memory upgrades for this printer but I thought I would first ask this list for some recommendations on reliable memory suppliers and maybe some tips to avoid purchasing faulty or poor quality memory. I am looking for a 32 MB SIMM and I see many on ebay but often the sellers do not know the technical specs and only know that the SIMM was pulled from an older system. Should I just take my chances and consider buying a SIMM on ebay hoping it will work or could someone recommend a good memory supplier for me?

I read on a website to avoid buying "remanufactured" or "re-engineered" memory. How can one really tell if a SIMM has been "remanufactured" or "re-engineered"?

If the memory was just pulled from an older Laserwriter 8500 should I just buttume that it should be the correct specs and should work reliably?

The specs are: 32 MB RAM SIMM 70ns or less must have a 2 KB row (11 bit x 11 bit) refresh rate 72-pin

For example, here is one of the ebay listings:

Thanks for any advice,

Mike
