Try burning the DVD's at a slower speed. Many times the failures re caused by a buffer over-run. If you look up the error message you get, using a search engine, you should get many results that you can read through.

One thing I noticed, is that your CPU speed is 1.10 gHz. From my experience it is best to have at least 1.6 gHz or faster CPU speed for DVD burning. Check to see in the documentation about your burner. With a Celeron over the standard P type machine, there is no separate math function for the CPU. Under many circumstances this can also be a drawback. When upgrading your machine, stay away from the Celeron, unless you intend the machine to be a simple work station for office type use.

I have an older P III 1 gHz machine that I use for some applications. I tried a DVD burner in that one, and it was making me a lot of coasters, just like yours is doing. I did not persue the problem in this machine, because I have 2 other P IV machines to use for DVD burning. The documentation for the burner indicated that a much faster CPU was recommended.

Hi all. I am having trouble burning DVD's, and am hoping somebody could help.

I am trying to burn DVD's, using DVD Xcopy, DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero 6, or Clone DVD

No matter what program I try to use, While burning, it aborts or crashes about 1-3 of the burning process.

I have no trouble putting an image on the hard drive.

What is burned (before crashing) I can put in a stand alone DVD player and watch the movie up to where it left off with no problem.

I have a Windows XP Home, version 2002, Gateway Intel Celeron processor 1.10ghz, 384 MB of Ram, a slave drive with over 90 gig of free space.

Anybody have an idea what I could do to burn it all the way through?
