FireFox is stupid and gay

I agree. I also don't like firefox . It doesn't seem as smooth as internet explorer. in operating or the text e.g. on buttons. Compare the google interface viewed in IE to viewed in firefox. Downloading things , things just disappear into this download window within firefox. You can't open the containing folder. And where the hell are downloads. it's not intuitive. Not under View, or under Go. It's under Tools. With IE you don't struggle to see what you're downloading, you can open the containing doler easily, see where it's going. Firefox is just a nasty gui. THere are other issues that annoy me with it, but I don't use it so can't comment.

Opera has its issues too. The latest version I tried seemed to be a step in the wrong direction. A friend recommended I try the latest version. After 5min I had listed about 20 things that put me off it.

IE doesn't need to be 'customized'. It just works. Real geeks if they have to use a GUI, cannot be bothered with "skins" and all this other rubbish marketting jargon where like a little child you change the colours of your little browser. Moving buttons here and there. Just put them in an intuitive placei n the first place. Why should I redesign their GUI ! must I redesign their GUI every time I install firefox? Oh, I bet thre's a little script I can put all my customizations into. Come on. It's a browser. IE doesn't have any of this rubbish

I only use firefox when I get an error in IE saying it can't save a webpage.

If I wanted to browse sites that mgiht give me a trojan, i'd use firefox. If when using IE I "caught something" then you can usually feel it. typically a sys restore fixes it. I do netstat -an make sure nothing odd is in there, especially no established connections i don't know about.
