Its not for me mate. It is for my Mother. And she is an IT teacher so she needs a floppy drive. She has literally hundreds of them. Her own, and many of her students that she looks at and marks their work. This is what they use because they are cheap, and they have enough space to store the files they need to use, e.g. mainly files for Office programs etc.

I have never had a 3.5" floppy drive fail on me in over 15 years of using a PC. I have had Hard Drives, CD Drives and other drives fail though.

I agree on that. She phoned them up and asked why she had been sent a PC without a floppy drive. The lady she spoke with tried to get through to another department to find out but couldn't as the line was engaged for ages, so she gave us the number and options to chose so we could dial directly. She was then waiting for ages, and was pbutted between 3 or 4 more people. The bloke she eventually spoke with said that it doesn't come with a Floppy. And despite the website showing one in the picture, as well as the actual box the PC came in, which, he denied vehemently. I personally think there should be something in big writing on their website that states, the picture shown may be different from the PC you get, and it wont have a floppy drive.

The Comet customer service is atrocious, however the Fujitsu Siemens PC we bought, despite not having a 3,5" floppy drive, is excellent. We have not gone and bought an external Sony USB floppy drive.
