Computer and Network Support Technician
Computer and Network Support Technician In the fall of this year this position will become available in Edmonton, Alberta...

djh It appears that some of those that answered did not know what they were talking about. One can certainly use faster memory, but it is not practical and it is not cost effective. Clocking rate of RAM does *NOT* depend on the speed of the RAM; it is controlled by the bus speed (which may or may not be selectable in the BIOS). It is best to get more PC2100 RAM, and as large as the motherboard can accept. So if the motherboard can accept 512Mbyte RAM, then get two or four sticks and "toss" the 256Mbyte sticks. I put that word in quotes for a reason. If you actually toss them out, then Murphy may sneak in and requier you to need that memory for some reason or another. However, if you satisfy Murphy's cousin, Justin Case, then wrap that RAM in aluminum foil and store it where you cah *find* it. This will tend to keep Murphy away. I joke some above about Murphy and JustinCase, but at times things *seem* to work that way. *** Make sure that you are grounded and the case is grounded (but *not* plugged in) when you get inside to make the changes.
