About those "fake" moonshot pictures from Kamal... 1593Straydog Thats actually a good thing. After the vietnam war, the democratic party lost the stomach to go to war for the next 40+ yrs. privates Cheney, a veteran of draft deferrals ended up criticizing John Kerry's patriotic credentials and Kerry didn't have the stomach for refuting the allegation. So, when the truth comes out as to how costly the war has been, americans will draw themselves into a shell and the world will be a better place to live. Maybe not. I just stated that regardless of the merit of the moon hoax email, it did NOT originate in India. There is a segment of the american population that believes in it, and there is nobody in India who either doubts the landing nor is jealous of americans having achieved anything significant in S&T. For my part, I am more interested in looking at the evidence than in dismissing americans' contribution to S&T. what??? you think you can time the shot, go 40-50 feet away on the lunar surface and say cheese? If you had to do it in a studio, you would have external markers like a background of white cloth or something and once you know the location where you are going to stand, you can adjust zoom and aperture -time the shot, then go to the location for a perfect remote shot. Doing this in an open landscape without clear cut markers is difficult, and doing it on the lunar surface where you need to acclimatize to the terrain and difference in gravity i.e. stay still -is going to be even more difficult. there have been numerous shots of both astronauts on the lunar surface, and you just need to imagine how much effort it would take for them to take a remote shot of themselves. so tell me why stars won't show on the background on the moon? timing the shot is something I can believe. What about ensuring a good shot remotely? another change of topic. no -Im not suggesting that your govt or your politicians are exceptionally corrupt or that Indian politicians are better. Just that they are corrupt -and their statements needn't be taken at face value.
