Im not able to quote the entire text of your msg and here is some that I wish to comment upon:-

Its a 50 sqkm region in a country about 340,000 sqkm (or more) in size. Im NOT in the vicinity of Blore, but am very much in India. The rise in salaries there affects salaries here -but thats about it.

If what you are talking of is *JOBS* and not a 6 figure salary -there is nothing preventing MSFT-Intel etc.. to relocate their US employees-hires to their Indian offics. Its their money, and they can hire whosoever they like for just about any office of theirs. There is no govt req that they hire Indians only for their Indian offices.
