On Wed, 27 Jul 2005, Kamal R. Prasad Failures have already been reported in the media, and those jobs have come back. But you seem to be Not a good understanding of what I said. I said offshoring has not yet been proven. About 1-3 of those jobs are coming back to the US and it is because contracts are not renewed or are terminated before the end of the contract period. So, offshoring is not PROVEN. It may save some money in the short run only for executives and maybe investors and it has definitely hurt former employees. The perilous rate will be critical for Americans farther into the future. At my age, I expect to be dead before you will have to worry or try. Im not ruling I am not sure it can be legislated; but, various populations--and the people who will suffer economically from offshoring-- in the world will need to invent new ways to deal with the economic injustice which further promotes the further enrichment of the rich an the further impoverishment of the poor.
