The word is so innocent sounding and is PR schmooze to take the sting out of its worst meaning "shipping jobs out of the country." And, the term hides job shifting IN the country. Just generating vagueness.

Not proven, no evidence for this. You need to go back and read, for example, Peters & Waterhouse's "In Search of Excellence" where, a few year after the book came out, 1-3 of those excellent corporations were in deep trouble and another 1-3 were not doing nearly as well as when the book came out.

We need a new economic model based on preserving standard of living, preventing poverty, and preventing big rich people from enriching themselves way way beyond what they really need.
